Element is an operating system for Home Theater or Media Center Personal Computers featuring a ten-foot user interface and designed to be connected to your HDTV for a digital media and internet experience within the comforts of your own living room or entertainment area. Element comes stacked with the software you need to manage your music, videos, photos, and internet media. Also included are a variety of applications that provide many of the same functions as found on your desktop PC, from web browsing to instant messaging and playing games.

If you want to take full advantage of what Element Linux and its included software are capable of we recommend the optimal system requirements. However, Element is designed to run moderately well even on slightly older or legacy systems. Check your computers specifications before attempting to install.

*A 1280x720 resolution on a direct rendering capable video card with HDMI inputs is recommend. All newer ATI, Intel, and Nvidia Cards with HDMI support direct rendering and the recommended resolution.
